Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Anava, the spiritual recording app designed for practitioners of all belief systems.

What is Anava?

Anava is a mobile application designed to help users record and document their spiritual practices. It provides a simple and intuitive interface for capturing audio recordings of prayers, universal intentions, karmic reflections, or any form of spiritual expression, organizing them by date, and reviewing them later for personal growth. The app is designed with respect for diverse belief systems, including Abrahamic faiths, universal spirituality, and karma-based practices.

Is Anava specific to any particular belief system?

Anava is designed to be inclusive and respectful of all spiritual paths. The app supports traditional religious practices from Abrahamic faiths (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) as well as more universal or karma-based spiritual approaches. Whether you're reciting Jewish prayers, Christian devotions, Islamic salat, speaking to the universe, or reflecting on karmic principles, Anava provides tools for recording and reflection that can be adapted to your specific spiritual practice.

How do I record a spiritual practice?

Recording your spiritual practice is simple:

  1. Open the Anava app
  2. Tap the "Record" button on the main screen
  3. Begin your prayer, meditation, universal intention, or karmic reflection (the app will automatically capture audio)
  4. Tap "Stop" when you've finished
  5. Add any notes or labels if desired (you can categorize by type of practice, occasion, or spiritual significance)
  6. Save your recording

Your recording will be saved with the current date and time and can be accessed later from your history.

Where are my recordings stored?

All spiritual recordings are stored locally on your device. They are not automatically uploaded to any cloud service or shared with anyone. This ensures your personal spiritual practices remain private, respecting the sacred and intimate nature of your connection with the divine, universe, or karmic principles. You can manually delete recordings at any time.

Can I set reminders for my spiritual practices?

Yes, Anava includes a customizable reminder system that can be adapted to various spiritual traditions. You can set specific times for regular practices, including:

  • The five daily salat times for Muslims
  • Morning and evening prayers for Christians
  • Shacharit, Mincha, and Ma'ariv times for Jewish users
  • Meditation sessions for universal spirituality
  • Alignment with celestial events
  • Karmic reflection periods
  • Custom times for any spiritual practice

To set up reminders:

  1. Go to the "Settings" section
  2. Select "Practice Reminders"
  3. Add new reminder times or edit existing ones
  4. Customize notification sounds and vibration patterns if desired
Is there a limit to how long my recordings can be?

Anava supports recordings of various lengths to accommodate different spiritual practices. Whether you're recording a brief daily intention, a complete salat, a lengthy Shabbat service, a guided meditation, a conversation with the universe, or an extended karmic reflection, the practical limit depends on your device's available storage space. For most modern devices, you can record sessions lasting from a few seconds to several hours without issues.

Can I share my recordings with others?

Yes, you can share individual recordings if you wish. From the recording details screen, tap the "Share" button to export your recording as an audio file that can be sent via email, messaging apps, or other sharing methods. This feature is completely optional, and by default, all recordings remain private. This can be useful for sharing with family members, your spiritual community, mentors, or fellow practitioners on similar paths.

Does Anava work offline?

Yes, Anava is designed to work fully offline. You don't need an internet connection to record, save, or listen to your spiritual practices. This makes it convenient to use anywhere, including places with limited connectivity, during travel, in places of worship, or in natural settings where you might connect with the universe but have limited internet access.

How can I back up my recordings?

Anava allows you to create backups of your spiritual recordings to prevent data loss. To back up your content:

  1. Go to "Settings"
  2. Select "Backup & Restore"
  3. Tap "Create Backup"
  4. Choose a location to save the backup file (local storage or cloud service)

You can restore your recordings from a backup file using the "Restore" option in the same menu. Regular backups are recommended, especially before significant spiritual events, celestial alignments, or personal milestones when you might record more frequently.

Is Anava free to use?

Anava offers both free and premium versions:

  • Free Version: Includes basic recording features, history, and limited reminders.
  • Premium Version: Unlocks additional features such as unlimited reminders, advanced audio quality, waveform visualization, categorization options for different types of spiritual practices and belief systems, and removes advertisements.

The premium version is available through a one-time purchase or subscription, depending on your preference.
